The Gwangju-Jeonnam Chapter of Korea TESOL serves EFL teachers in the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas with monthly presentations and workshops for the professional development of its membership as well as to promote scholarship and disseminate information on ELT.
The Chapter holds an annual conference in March, often in cooperation with one or more of KOTESOL's special interest groups (SIG) and featuring presentations from outstanding KOTESOL members from across the nation. The Chapter also holds at least one Outreach Workshop each year, often two, in the Mokpo and Suncheon areas, each featuring a half dozen outstanding EFL presentations.
Recently, Chapter members have formed a Gwangju group of the Reflective Practice SIG, which meets monthly in Gwangju.
