Julian Warmington

Julian Warmington first learned of the climate crisis in 1986 with the impact of airplane fuel on the greenhouse gas effect, and unnatural rise in the global death rate of frogs by 1991. He ignored it until 2011, when speakers at Gwangju City’s first World Human Rights Cities Forum spoke of the impacts of animal agriculture, especially on the climate. This helped his appreciation of the film Cowspiracy (2014). When KOTESOL’s social justice special interest group launched in 2015, he joined immediately, travelling South Korea extensively, offering sessions on climate change in ESL in 2017 and 18.
