The next monthly Daegu-Gyeongbuk KOTESOL workshop returns to the first Saturday in November – this time on the topic of PRONUNCIATION.

From the presenter: "This interactive presentation will help you, as an instructor, understand some of the challenges Korean speakers have with English pronunciation, learn techniques that have proven to be effective for ESL learners, and walk away with tools to help you enhance your existing skill set. Ultimately, you'll be able to tackle these issues when teaching pronunciation in your own classrooms."

Kasham Laine earned an MA in Business and Organizational Security Management in 2006. When she made the transition from a Staff Development Specialist with the Department of Corrections to an ESL teacher in Korea, she thought it'd be a good idea to increase her knowledge in the ESL field and she obtained her TESOL certification in 2009. Having more than a decade of teaching/training experience, in three different countries, Kasham has studied 4 foreign languages and is all too familiar with the unique challenges language learning brings. This helps her bring fun, enthusiasm, empathy and hands-on learning to her classroom.

KOTESOL workshops for professional development are FREE to all. Members and non-members alike are welcome so feel free to invite your friends and colleagues. Snacks and drinks are also provided. We hope to see you there!
