Given differing levels of learner motivation and proficiency, it is exceedingly challenging to ensure equity of teacher attention and interaction with learners in the classroom. This session will explore teachers' values and practices to this essential element of classroom practice. Furthermore, this session will explore what is a teacher's obligation (as well as potential strategies) when a student is reticent to engage. This session promises to provoke and stimulate insights and perhaps innovations to attendee's classroom practices.
