2026 Jeonju – North Jeolla KOTESOL Regional Conference
Jeonju – North Jeolla KOTESOL is excited to bring educators together for the 2026 Regional Conference on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Jeonbuk National University. After several years without hosting a regional conference, we look forward to welcoming educators from across Korea for an afternoon of learning, sharing, and collaboration.
This year's theme, Challenges and Opportunities for Provincial Education in Korea, highlights the unique contexts, strengths, and realities of teaching outside the capital region. Throughout the event, attendees will have the opportunity to explore practical teaching strategies, hear about innovative classroom practices, and engage in discussions relevant to educators working in provincial settings.
The conference program will feature a variety of presentations and interactive sessions, bringing together teachers from a range of educational contexts, including public schools, universities, and private academies.
In addition to the presentations, participants will have opportunities to connect with fellow educators through our Conference Café, a dedicated space for conversation, networking, and the exchange of ideas. Attendees will also have the opportunity to browse the Jeonju – North Jeolla Honest Market, featuring classroom materials, teaching resources, and other items contributed by fellow educators. Proceeds from the Honest Market will support the continued activities of the JNJ KOTESOL chapter.
The Conference Café will also provide an opportunity to learn more about Jeonju–North Jeolla KOTESOL, our chapter activities, and membership benefits. KOTESOL membership is not required to attend the conference, but chapter members will be happy to answer questions and share more information with anyone who is interested.
Registration Fees (Payment by cash or bank transfer)
KOTESOL Members: 5,000 won
Non-Members: 12,000 won
Undergraduate Students: 5,000 won (student ID required)
