Notice of Proposed Amendments to the KOTESOL Bylaws

All members are hereby notified of three motions to amend the KOTESOL Bylaws, detailed in the PDF attachment below, to be voted upon at the KOTESOL Annual Business Meeting (ABM) scheduled for November 1, 2026, at 7 p.m. on Zoom, having met the provisions for endorsement and notice under the KOTESOL Bylaws, Article X.

• Amendment 1: Change Articles III & V so the IC co-chair is appointed by the National Council instead of elected. (Allows the National Council to appoint an IC co-chair earlier than the current election schedule permits.)
• Amendment 2: Change Article III, Section 9, to limit the past president’s term to one year.
• Amendment 3: Change Article VI, Section 4, to reduce the number of members required for active chapters.
