Workshop Title: Innovating EFL Education in the Age of AI: Speak, PLANG, and PengTalk
Abstract
This workshop explores how AI-powered tools are reshaping English education in Korea. Focusing on Speak, PLANG, and PengTalk, we will examine how these platforms support personalized learning, increase speaking opportunities, and assist teachers in EFL contexts. Participants will gain practical insights and examples of effective AI integration across elementary, secondary, and adult education.
Brief Bio
Lim studied in English and Korean at university, specializing in second and foreign language acquisition (SLA/FLA). She is currently a graduate student in English Education at Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) and works as an education content developer at a leading EdTech company in Korea. With over five years of experience teaching Korean as a second language, she integrates her background in language education and learning sciences with her work in AI-enhanced instructional design.
