Welcome to the Extensive Reading SIG

This is the page for the Extensive Reading Special Interest Group (ER-SIG).

Extensive reading is a great way to develop reading and overall language skills, and we would like to play a role in promoting the practice in Korea.

Some of the purposes of the ER-SIG are as follows:

to promote ER as a viable approach to reading and general general language development in Korea.
to share ideas on how to apply ER in the language classroom in Korea.
to promote and disseminate research related to ER practices.

Upcoming Events:

The ER-SIG will be hosting a series of presentations at the 2011 KOTESOL National Conference.

Soon we will be calling for presentation proposals for the ER Colloquium held at the 2011 KOTESOL International Conference. If you might be interested in joining us as a presenter, please get in contact with Scott Miles at scott@dhu.ac.kr.
